Uniform Guidelines

The San Francisco Islamic School requires all students to be in proper uniform for the duration of the school day. Please note there are strict guidelines for the uniform each student should be wearing while in attendance. Any deviation from the uniform guidelines is not permitted. The students should learn early on that in Islam, the one who is clean is the one who is pleasing to Allah ta’ala. A child who has a sense of this will carry it throughout their life and the way they conduct themselves in and outside of school
GIRLS UNIFORM KG-6th
Plaid round neck jumper. Long-sleeved Oxford blouse must be worn underneath the jumper. An SFIS cardigan sweater or quarter zip sweatshirt can be worn over uniform. No leggings or jeggings. Straight leg khaki pants. The uniform must be free of holes, tears, or visible stains.
GIRLS UNIFORM 7th&8th
7th and 8th-grade girls will have the option to choose from 3 different uniform designs from East Essence. Parents use the link to purchase from the official school page on East Essence. Please choose the navy blue color for the maxi dress and tunic. Only straight leg khakhi pants are allowed under the tunic. Hijabs are required for 7th and 8th-grade girls. Hijab colors can be solid black, blue, or white hijab. An SFIS cardigan sweater or quarter zip sweatshirt can be worn over the uniform. No leggings or jeggings.. The uniform must be free of holes, tears, or visible stains.
BOYS UNIFORM KG-8th
Long or short-sleeved polo shirts for the boys. Boys can also wear the sweater vest with short or long-sleeved Oxford shirts. If you choose the sweater vest option, your child must wear it over a white Oxford button-up. The white Oxford button-up shirt cannot be worn alone. An SFIS cardigan sweater or quarter zip sweatshirt can be worn over the uniform. No shorts or no long-sleeve white shirts can be worn underneath the polos. The uniform must be free of holes, tears, or visible stains.
